Launched in June 2018, 500 Queer Scientists is a powerful visibility campaign to raise awareness and celebrate the contributions of LGBTQ+ professionals working in a variety of STEM fields. Founded by Academy arachnologist Dr. Lauren Esposito and Academy scientific illustrator Sean Edgerton, the fast-growing campaign is creating an international community of LGBTQ+ professionals and their allies to foster diversity and inclusion in science.
