Best Falafel & Breakfast in Cairo
The hotel's breakfast left much to be desired, so I set out to find something better and stumbled upon Zooba in Al Maadi. The vibrant café was a haven for breakfast lovers, especially those craving falafel. The friendly staff welcomed me with smiles, and the food did not disappoint. Their falafel was crispy, perfectly spiced, and served with a variety of delicious accompaniments. It was the highlight of my mornings in Cairo, providing a refreshing start to each day. Zooba’s blend of great food and warm hospitality made it my favorite breakfast spot in the city.

US Dollar Crisis in Egypt
During my Cairo tour, I quickly realized there's a serious shortage of US dollars. On my first day, I made the mistake of converting too much of my money into Egyptian pounds. Now, with my trip ending, I'm struggling to convert it back. I visited three or four exchange companies and banks, but none would take my Egyptian pounds. It’s a tough lesson learned. With my pounds now worthless for exchange, I decided to do some last-minute shopping, use what I could at the airport, and keep a few bills as souvenirs. Next time, I'll plan my conversions more carefully.
