Happy Deaf Awareness Month! I hope you enjoy learning some helpful signs in ASL! This resource is designed to help you communicate in situations or environments where it may not be easy :) Like any living language, ASL is influenced by its users' diverse experiences, perspectives, and linguistic creativity. The first people to introduce sign language in my life were aids in the school system and specialists; these supportive people and the resources they encouraged, I think, are valuable and applicable to everyone. Deaf people aren't the only people who struggle to access and convey information socially. While we rely on ASL, I don't believe in gatekeeping it, so I chose to share these signs because they communicate clearly, the words are distinguishable, and clear communication has benefits for everyone.

Neurodivergent defined: Neurodivergence is when someone's brain processes, learns, and/or behaves differently from what is considered "typical.".
