I was denied boarding, stranded for 24 hours, and refused my legal compensation. This is my horror story flying with Turkish Airlines from India to Finland.

What Happened: On January 29, 2026, I was scheduled to fly from Istanbul to Helsinki on flight TK1761. Despite having a confirmed ticket, I was denied boarding at the gate due to overbooking. I was left stranded in Istanbul for a full day.

The "Scam": According to the SHY-PASSENGER Regulation (similar to EU261), passengers denied boarding are entitled to cash compensation. instead, Turkish Airlines:

Tried to force a "free ticket" voucher on me instead of the money I am owed.

Refused to pay by claiming I should contact IndiGo, even though Turkish Airlines was the operating carrier (the one flying the plane).

I am an international student, and the mental harassment and financial stress caused by this was unacceptable. I am making this video to expose these tactics and demand my rights.
