Dear officer colleagues,

I wish all of you a prosperous , happy & healthy New Year 2026 !

I am initiating a conversation and dialogue for the benefit of Bank officers at large .!

Recently few officer colleagues met me and informed me about wrong calculations of payment of Gratuity at the time of retirement of Bank officer . This is a matter of serious injustice!

It is also clear that irrespective of Bank the retired Bank Officers are victims of wrong understanding of all Bank managements

Thus this is the case all the Bank officers .

The Grievance is that Bank officers could get only Rs 20 lacs as per the provisions the Payment of Gratuity Act .

Whereas the Retired Bank Officers are entitled to receive better terms of gratuity as provided under OSR in terms of Section 4 (5) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

In all such cases obviously Retired Bank officers are losers to the extent of few lacs .

I discussed this case based on actual calculations with my lawyers !

Now on behalf those who approached me it is decided that
A WRIT PETITION will be ready in Next week .

Shri Shirish Sule and his team met me .

My suggestion is that since this a common cause then WE must make an effort to mobilise all the similarly situated retired Bank Officers on one platform for this WRIT PETITION

WE can present a list of retired bank officers who could not get payment of Gratuity as per OSR provisions and thus put to loss of few lac rupees. to the Bombay High Court !

To connect all such retired Bank officers I am preparing a WHATSAPP GROUP and sending a join my group link to enable like minded officers to join .

Our intention is to creat a platform and fight collectively.
Secondly sharing of legal expenses will be easy when number of joining the group is large.

Hence a request to join .

We are bound to win this legal battle as our positions are legally correct !
