In this clip, we catch a unique NJ Transit move on the Raritan Valley Line in Bound Brook, NJ.
Train "MM-90" is an MMC yard move from the NJT Maintenance facility in Kearny to Raritan, NJ and return. In this move however, a cab car or eastward-facing locomotive was unavailable for the trip. So filling is as the "cab car", NJT ALP46, an electric locomotive, is being utilized for this move. One of the diesels that are actually providing the power, in the form of Metro-North F40PH-3C locomotive #4910. This is also an uncommon sight on this side of the NJT system, as these engines are generally only seen on the Hoboken Division.
