Coinciding with a new morning team, WFAA debuted "Pixel Lens" on their morning newscast "Daybreak" Monday.

Unlike other stations, WFAA still has a local marketing team! So, they were able to make some tweaks to the opens that basically everyone else couldn't because they don't have the manpower to do so. Some of the drone shots are pretty cool including the ending one with the station's iconic downtown tower. They also added on a legal ID to the open, which no one else uses. Finally, they made some font size changes to the headline straps. It's unfortunate the other stations in the group don't have this ability, because WFAA was able to make it look a little bit better than the rest of the group.

The company's new Made Music custom music theme also debuted. No voiceover is used in the open.
