I have published a photography book titled The Burning City based on my long-term photo documentary project on Jharia, Dhanbad — a project I have been working on for nearly 7 years. Through my work, I aim to show the lives of people here, where underground fires have been burning for over a century. Life in Jharia is marked by severe challenges — scarcity of clean water and electricity, living amidst carbon monoxide, the constant risk of land subsidence, and widespread health problems caused by smoke affecting everyone from children to the elderly.

My sole purpose is to raise awareness about the struggles of the people living in Jharia’s coal mines. If any copyrighted music or voice appears in my videos, please understand it as part of an important message and support the cause by watching and sharing the video.

Experience:
I have worked as a 3D Artist for 8 years with leading studios like DreamWorks, Disney, Technicolor India, Red Chillies Entertainment, Assemblage Entertainment, and Pixelji Production, contributing to projects such as Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, The Chicken Squad, Booba, Laal Singh Chaddha, and The Swan Princess.

Alongside my animation career, I have been pursuing photography since 2015 and am currently a contributor to AFP (Agence France-Presse). My long-term documentary project on the coalfields of Jharia, The Burning City, took 7 years to complete and has been published as a photography book. My work has been featured in National Geographic Your Shot, Smithsonian Magazine, All About Photo Magazine, Photo Arts Magazine, and exhibited in Dubai (Foundry by Emaar) and Naples, Italy (Eyeshot).

Over the years, I have documented with several renowned journalists and YouTube creators.
