This is a tutorial that will show you how to use Merge Shapes in PowerPoint. How to create shapes in PowerPoint. How to Cut Shapes in PowerPoint. How to Join Shapes in PowerPoint. It will also show you how to enable Merge Shapes in PowerPoint and how to combine shapes with Merge Shapes in PowerPoint. Now when you are first in PowerPoint the Merge Shapes tool won't actually be available or even show up to use in PowerPoint. So how this is how you enable the Merge Shapes tool. You have to have more than two shapes, pictures, text or objects selected and then the Merge Shapes tool will then light up and allow you to pick between different options. If you noticed in my thumbnail the options in the Merge Shapes tool in PowerPoint are Union, Combine, Fragment, Intersect, and Subtract. All of these features have different purposes, but some can be used to accomplish a similar goal, so make sure to watch all the way through this tutorial in order to find out how to use each one of these options in the merge shape feature in PowerPoint. This tool has allowed me to create very unique shapes, crop out unnecessary parts of an object and make clean designs in a matter of seconds in PowerPoint. It is hands down one of my favorite features in PowerPoint and I hope after watching this tutorial that you feel the same.
