2024 Corralco Highlight Reel

Описание: Here's a look at the highlights of our first visit to Corralco for future programs with The Adventure Project. We had 3 days to ski at Corralco, from the 3rd to the 5th September but unfortunately the resort was closed on the 3rd for a massive storm.

On the 4th, we were able to head up to the mountain for our first look, but the top of the Lonquimay volcano was clouded over. There had been a lot of new snow but the wind had compacted the snow greatly and we were only skiing on 10cm's of fresh snow. They were only able to open the lower lifts in the morning but we enjoyed some nice sidecountry runs through a deep, open gully.

After that, the upper lifts started to open and we had some nice open turns at high speed. The next day, on the 5th, the whole mountain was opened and we had an amazing day exploring more of the inbounds and sidecountry terrain.

We were beaten away by the wind trying to climb up the volcano but had a huge run down from 1/2 way up and then over to another sidecountry area where we skinned for about an hour to reach.

All in all, we had 2 great days of skiing at Corralco and could really see the potential of the place. The sidecountry access here is huge and the scenery is amazing, with views of numerous volcanic peaks nearby.
