Step into the world of Nintendo at Super Nintendo World in Universal Epic Universe, the most interactive land ever created at Universal Orlando Resort. This walkthrough covers the Mushroom Kingdom, also referred to as Super Mario World, and the all-new Donkey Kong Country, taking you through Peach’s Castle, warp pipes, colourful landscapes, and themed areas filled with decades of Nintendo video game history.

Super Nintendo World Mushroom Kingdom is home to the thrilling Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge AR dark ride and the family-friendly Yoshi’s Adventure, along with interactive gameplay powered by the optional Power-Up Bands. Shop for exclusive merchandise at Mario Motors and 1UP Factory, and dine inside Toadstool Café, themed to Chef Toad himself.

Super Nintendo World Donkey Kong Country immerses guests in the jungle world of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. The land’s flagship coaster, Mine-Cart Madness, uses a unique ride system that simulates jumping broken track pieces, bringing the side-scrolling game to life in 3D. Themed merchandise and snacks are available throughout the jungle setting, where thundering waterfalls, temple ruins, and iconic enemies recreate the spirit of the classic Donkey Kong games.

Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe opened in 2025 as part of Universal Orlando’s most ambitious expansion ever. The land follows versions already open at Universal Studios Japan (2021) and Universal Studios Hollywood (2023). Epic Universe itself is Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park, joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. The park is divided into five lands surrounding Celestial Park, and Super Nintendo World is one of its most popular areas.

The Super Mario franchise began in 1985 and is one of the most iconic video game series of all time, spawning classics like Super Mario 64, Mario Odyssey, and the globally popular Mario Kart series. In 2023, the Super Mario Bros. Movie became one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time, further fuelling interest in Nintendo’s theme park expansions around the world.
