This guitar was made in 1985 in Japan. It's the Ibanez vintage series V302 12 string. There's not much information available online.
It is an all laminate guitar, spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The neck is mahogany too I believe, but the fretboard is definitely not rosewood.
For a guitar that is almost 40 years old it has held up well over time. The bridge has never been reglued and the top is still in good condition. I've installed a JLD bridge doctor and also used the lightest gauge of strings and down tuned it to D to relieve the tension on the top and there's a healthy amount of bellying you'd expect on any acoustic guitar.
Tone wise, it sounds really good for a lower end 12 string guitar. It has that thick shimmery chorus you'd desire as you play your favourite 60s songs. There's a good solid bass and it's not too muddy. I'm sure it will sit well in a band.
The tuners are really solid and hold their tune really well. They are the original ones. Action is good and truss rod works. The neck is adjusted almost straight, and it's also chunky and very comfortable for cowboy chords.
