These drugs represent a class of pain killers that include drugs such as Oxycocet, Oxycontin, Percocent, Morphine, and Fentanyl. And these are only a few of the medications available.

There is an entire pharmaceutical industry that is dedicated to their manufacture. Companies such as Johnson & Johnson create and distribute these medications for clinical use. However, the opioid crisis in the USA and Canada is an ongoing problem. Drug addiction to illicit and prescription drugs is relatively common. Quite a few people who start out treating themselves for pain end up addicted to opioids. Painkiller addiction is an ongoing problem, and one about which we must always be vigilant.
