Tigray ex fighters register for reintegration

Описание: Hundreds of former fighters in Ethiopia's northern Tigray region are registering for a program to help them return to civilian life after renewed fighting. Some say they were forcibly recruited into the conflict, while others hope the initiative will offer a fresh start. The disarmament and reintegration effort is part of the 2022 Pretoria peace agreement, which has come under pressure from recent clashes. With a new interim administration promising elections within six months, the program could play an important role in restoring stability to the war-torn region.
