Like a ghost you slowly grew inside of me
I was living for the first time

Still can't believe,
those days gone by
for a little while

We’ve never ever got to walk side by side
I was your dirty little secret
a mistake you had to hide

All of a sudden you were gone for evermore
you said you'd go back to your man
but you were lying all along

Still can't believe,
you left me here to die
when for a little while

So I wrote these songs
to let folks know
‘bout that time

almost mine
