"Got it. Now we're going to destroy that story with something it can't survive."
*DIMENSION 2: THE FACTS*
"Strip out every emotion. What are the cold facts?"
"I've sold for 12 years. Served over a thousand people."
I turned to their boss, sitting three feet away.
"What would you say about this rep?"
Without hesitation: "Does an amazing job. I get compliments about them from clients and prospects constantly."
I looked back. *"The story you've been telling yourself is 180 degrees opposite of the truth. The facts just killed your fiction."*
"... Oh."
That "Oh" was the sound of a belief system cracking.
*DIMENSION 3: FUTURE SELF*
"Close your eyes. I want you to see yourself 15 years from now. You've reached your full potential. You're the person you know you can be. Really see them. Tell me when you've got it."
20 seconds later: "I got it."
"Now let that version of you speak to the person sitting here today. What do they say?"
The tone changed completely.
"Those challenges are here to grow you. Don't let fear run the show. You are more capable than you've ever imagined."
*THE RESULT:*
Every sales record the company had was broken in the next 3 months.
Not because of a new script.
Not because of a new close.
*Because they stopped believing a story that was never true.*
