Traveling India: Jaisalmer, originally a lonely remote outpost in the Thar Desert, located on the trade route to Central Asia. Jaisalmer was founded in the 12th century. The town and fort is built from golden sandstone, at sunrise and sunset the stone reflects a warm glow, a brilliant sight to see. We loved being here, exploring the desert, meeting the locals, watching the animals and Hotel Fifu was a fantastic place to spend the week relaxing. We loved Jaisalmer and would definitely return, it was a memorable experience we will never forget!
