One Of The First Bike Ride in Months…The Worst UK Weather and A Trip Coming Up🌧️🚴‍♂️ Cycling

Sat outside The Plough in Tetney waiting for Gooders, wondering why we do this to ourselves 😅
Between us we’ve barely ridden. He’s managed three rides in six months. I’ve had maybe two or three this year. And it’s rained 30 out of the last 31 days — so excuses have been easy.
But we’ve got a trip coming up.
In April/May we’re driving out to Switzerland for a couple of weeks on the bike. First time I’ve been able to take that much time off in years — not exactly by choice with redundancy landing end of March — but we’ll take the positives.
More time to ride.
More time to get fit.
Maybe even a detour to Girona.
Today wasn’t about pace.
Wasn’t about watts.
Just about getting the legs turning again and stopping for a coffee at Louth Tennis Club.
Sometimes you’ve just got to start where you are.
