"Translucent" for Brahms Guitar

Translucent explores through the subtle sonic characteristics within the vast ocean of foliage in our subconscious. Oftentimes, we thoughtlessly dismiss any sounds in our minds. However, by patiently observing inwards, we start to discover the elusive and delicate noise chirping and crackling in us. This work was commissioned by guitarist Joseph Ehrenpreis in 2016 and was composed in New York City and Tokyo. It was premiered by Joseph Ehrenpreis in Chicago in 2016.
