Just because you can, does not mean you should. That seems to be the big lesson learnt from early IoT startups. Consumers are rejecting novel technology ideas and do not seem to connect to IoT. They are sometimes accepting IoT applications in their own way, and not as designed. Where are the designers going wrong? Is technology part of the problem or the user mindset is?

We will explore answers to these questions and learn about the importance and techniques of design thinking which can be used for developing IoT products and applications. We will explore some examples and observe how different aspects of design thinking can improve different areas of IoT design and development.
