'Will try our best': Iranian envoy on passage of India-flagged vessels through the Strait of Hormuz

Speaking to reporters, Fathali emphasised the strong ties between India and Iran and expressed hope that obstacles affecting maritime movement would soon be resolved. According to Indian officials, 28 India-flagged vessels were stuck near the Strait due to tensions in the region, though one vessel has already resumed its journey.

The remarks come as diplomatic efforts intensify, with Narendra Modi and Masoud Pezeshkian discussing the situation, while S. Jaishankar has also been in contact with Iranian leaders.
