This Fender Squier Jazz Bass came into the shop with no sound at all… just a loud buzzing noise.
At first glance, it looked like a major electronics issue — but after a proper diagnosis, the culprit turned out to be something simple: a loose/broken solder connection at the input jack.
In this episode, we:
-Diagnose the no-signal + buzzing problem
-Open up the control cavity
-Re-solder the input jack connection
-Test it and bring this J Bass back to life
It’s a great reminder that sometimes the biggest problems have the simplest fixes.
If you’re experiencing buzzing, cutting out, or no output from your bass or guitar, don’t panic — it might just be a connection issue.
