Описание: During the Battle of Arracourt, American forces used the dense fog of Lorraine to neutralize the long-range advantage of the Panther tank. M4 Sherman tanks maneuvered through the mist and executed flanking and rear encirclement attacks against the Panthers’ weaker side and rear armor, while accompanying infantry cleared anti-tank threats and guided targets. When weather conditions allowed, P-47 Thunderbolt fighter-bombers conducted dive attacks against German armored units. Through effective radio coordination, maneuver warfare, and air-ground cooperation, American forces overcame the Panthers’ superior armor and firepower and ultimately won the tank battle at Arracourt.
