Vice President Vance is set to give remarks in Washington on Wednesday as part of the Munich Leaders Meeting on global security.
The Q&A, which will be led by former German diplomat Wolfgang Ischinger, comes a day after a rollercoaster election in Germany, when a new chancellor was elected. It also follows Vance’s harsh criticism of freedom of speech practices in the European Union, which German leaders pushed back on.
