Описание: Professor Simon Lilly reveals the background to the 2017 closure of the ETH Institute for Astronomy and the historic 2019 dismissal from the ETH Zurich of Professor Marcella Carollo (whose husband he is). This public lecture highlights the questionable behavior of an ETH Ombudsman and the roles of the ETH management and Department of Physics. The testimonial exposes the use of easily-disprovable false accusations of scientific misconduct to destroy the persona of a scientist with a spotless record of integrity in scientific research, as well as deficiencies of good-governance in the areas of due process, due diligence, equality of treatment and transparency.
