Bigfoot, as a term and concept, wouldn’t be used until the 1950’s. Sasquatch, as a term and concept, wouldn’t be used until the 1920’s. But long before these terms were ever scooped up by popular culture - newspaper articles of the 1800’s, early indigenous folklore and art, literature and architecture of Medieval Europe all describe a figure…that sounds oddly similar.

Throughout the history of this phenomenon, folks were describing a creature they did not yet know couldn’t possibly exist. Today, we explore it’s consistent descriptions and follow a trail of massive footprints from ancient to modern times.
