This video is about the sounds /p/ and /f/. Some languages do not distinguish between these two sounds. There are a few characteristics we want to consider when listening for and producing sounds:
1) what parts of our mouth as used?
2) what quality does the sound have?
3) is the sound voiced or voiceless?

Watch this video. Can you hear the difference? Can you produce the difference?

This is particularly important for people from Indonesia and the Philippines.
