Описание: At last i am done patching the old hull holes! When we hauled out the boat i mistakenly thought that new fittings are a must after 30+ years. Wrong! At that time i didn't mind cutting them with an angle grinder from the outside, actually the boatyard worker cut them very aggresively wounding the hull also.. To my surprise, the through hull fittings were in great condition, and i should just uninstall them and put them again with new sealant and new seacocks! After i swalowed the bitter incident i got to work and started organizing the fiberglass work it should be done. The method followed was advised to me by a very good and experienced "fiberglass repairman". There were 8 holes to be patched, so going with epoxy resin would be very expensive. I used polyester resin, chopped strand mat for internal patches, and combimat (roving/mat) for externals. Working with polyester needs speed and accuracy because its curing fast, so one needs to be well prepered and focused! Recording the process was an extra job to do at the same time , so i did my best to make a video with sense and flow. Constructive feedback is welcome as any questions about details of the process! Thanks for watching:)
