As part of a camera test for a post-apocalyptic short film, we took a Canon 600mm, Canon 2x Extender, and RED Komodo out to see if we could accomplish a exaggerated, large sun effect while silhouetting our actors inside the sun.
I'm a big believer in testing things before the shoot and not making big assumptions, so this was an important part of prep as a Director of Photography for this project.
