This research article challenges the traditional focus on procedural justice within companies, arguing that it is a mirage because organizations are ruled by managerial authority rather than the impartial "rule of law" found in markets. The author utilizes Hayek’s theories to explain that while procedures may look fair, they are often manipulated by leaders to justify controversial outcomes. To address this, the study advocates for the primacy of interactional justice, redefining it as a core part of distributive justice that ensures honest communication. By applying Perelman’s argumentation theory, the text distinguishes between heuristic problem-solving and eristic sophistry, which managers use to create a false appearance of legitimacy. Ultimately, the source suggests that researchers should shift their focus from employee perceptions to the behavior and reasoning of managers to better identify organizational hypocrisy.
