The book of Daniel isn’t about Daniel. The book of Daniel is about Daniel’s God. Throughout the whole book, we meet the Most High God who is sovereignly ruling over the kings and kingdoms of human history until the Messiah comes and brings his people into the everlasting Kingdom of God.
God is in the big movements of history (v. 2).
God is in the small decisions of men (vv. 3–16).
God is preparing us for service in His Kingdom (vv. 17– 21).
God is sovereign, He places us in history and calls us to engage the culture without being defiled by the culture so we can impact the culture for Christ.
