Sur Ron X vs KTM Freeride E-XC: Electric Stealth Fun!

Описание: Got a chance to ride a brand new 2020 Sur Ron X this week back to back with my 2020 KTM Freeride E-XC. My buddy Dave ordered it from Luna Cycles back in May and it just arrived. I bought my Sur Ron X last fall and this new one looks identical except it came with the front fender, rear fender on the swingarm, chain guard, and drive by wire throttle. The biggest update on the new Sur Ron X is the drive by wire throttle which feels way better than the cable version throttle (less friction and lighter pull effort with no free play). The drive be wire gives the new Sur Ron X a sharper and stronger initial throttle response...easier to wheelie...I like it! The rest of the bike is the same. Wish they came with a little more serious off road tire but that is an easy upgrade. Like I've done in the past I did a quick lap time comparison and rode the new Sur Ron X back to back with my 2020 KTM Freeride E-XC on a short woods loop. The results were similar and the Freeride was quicker. I know they are completely different bikes with big price, power, and weight differences. I just use lap times for reference only and to show some performance difference between the bikes. Both bikes offer stealth woods riding - perhaps the best part of the electric experience.

These Sur Ron X's are perhaps the best value in small electric motorcycles in terms of power/weight/price currently available. Now I want a drive by wire throttle on my Sur Ron X!
