Ingredients:
1 cup yellow moong dal (soaked for 4-5 hours)
1 cup grated radish
1-2 green chilies (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
Rinse the soaked moong dal and grind it into a coarse paste without adding water. Transfer it to a mixing bowl.
Add grated radish, chopped green chilies, grated ginger, cumin seeds, asafoetida, and salt to the dal paste. Mix the ingredients well.
Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into round laddus using your hands.
Carefully slide the laddus into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crisp. Fry them in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Once done, remove the laddus using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serve the Ram Laddu hot with mint chutney or your favorite sauce.
Tips:
Adjust spice levels according to your preference.
Ensure the oil is hot enough to fry the laddus evenly.
