Hi, I am Marcy Stevens, and I have the honor of serving as the Chief General Counsel and Privacy Officer for ITS.

In this role, I oversee a talented team of attorneys and legal professionals, policy analysts and technicians who support the largest state IT organization in the country. The legal team at ITS isn’t just reviewing contracts — we’re on the front lines, shaping the future of digital government for over 19 million New Yorkers.

We handle complex legal challenges that matter — from cutting-edge data privacy and cybersecurity to procurement, policy, compliance, and emerging tech, like AI. Beyond the traditional legal services you would expect, our Legal Tech team is driving innovation through a robust product offering tailored for government lawyers doing important work across NYS government.
