Some weapons in Warframe are more iconic then others and I can't overstate my love and all the great memories I have of the Hek shotgun. A powerful starter weapon but latter down the line it passes the torch to the bigger brother, The Vaykor Hek.

When it comes to build options we can either go for a true one hundred percent status chance build through the use of the four sixty mods and Nano Applicator (or a riven) or we can increase the base critical chance of twenty five percent and get the most we can out of Hunter Munitions. Both builds have their own advantages but the status build is let down by the damage layout of the weapon as puncture is by far the highest physical type so it makes it hard to leverage slash (even with Sweeping Serration)
All that said my recommendation would be a Hunter Munitions base build and just get as much critical chance (to one hundred) you can and critical damage through Ravage or Primed Ravage and Shrapnel Shot.
There is one more approach to a bleed build and that would be through the use of viral damage but It's simply to inconsistent on this weapon for me to recommend.
Riven Disposition has seen a slight increase in the Fortuna patch making rivens barely worth it but still worth it. I would prioritize Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Multishot about everything else.
The only slight downside to the weapon is the fact that it can not use Scatter Justice but that would be having your cake and eating to.

What can I say ? This is a fantastic weapon that I highly recommend. It offers a bit build diversity, the Justice Syndicate effect by default and a truck of damage. What more do you need ? Go for it!
