Описание: A sunny Spring day is perfect for a 4K walk through an authentic Spanish town with a long history. What I really like about Quinto is that in an age when so many small towns are either Disneyfied to the point of parody, or abandoned and neglected, Quinto is still very much a living, active town. It's not a mere bedroom community for the regional capital, Zaragoza (which is only an hour away) and rather than megalomaniac attempts to build away the past, as we see for example in La Muela, another town in this province, Quinto has opted very much for natural evolution. You will see new(ish) buildings but they fit into the existing vibe, while houses of the mid-20th century are still cared for and lived in. The town's lovingly restored old church, overlooking its residents from high atop a nearby hill, is a reminder of how long people have lived here. Some surnames still found here today have been in its records for 500 years, as shown by the earliest surviving church records. If you visit Quinto, be sure and have some tapas in the bar on the main square, opposite the town hall: it's not a gastropub or foodie den, just delicious Spanish food served the way the residents like it.
