What is it like to take the Alaska Marine Highway ferry? We spent 3 days aboard the Matanuska and got to experience the Beautiful waters of British Columbia up the inside passage before entering southeast Alaska and stopping at a lot of cool Port towns like Ketchikan, Wrangell, and eventually Juneau. We had an awesome time and if camping on the deck of a boat in the rain sounds fun I would highly recommend it as an alternate method to get north.
