Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 7 (1942) is the most famous of his “War Sonatas.” Written during WWII, it’s raw, explosive, and restless — music of a world in turmoil. The jagged rhythms, biting harmonies, and relentless final movement (Precipitato) capture both violence and defiance. A piece of struggle, survival, and unstoppable energy.
