As we continue the pilot phase of the National Agribusiness Policy Mechanism (NAPM), working with 13 states, State Focal Persons convened in Zaria for Day One of Training and Orientation. The session was led by the Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit (PFSCU) in collaboration with the @fedminofagricandfoodsecurity and the National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS), ahead of the 2026 Minor Season Farmers’ Intention Survey.
State Focal Persons were introduced to their critical role as the coordination bridge within the National Agribusiness Policy Mechanism (NAPM), ensuring alignment between national seasonal planning and state-level execution, particularly under its most critical pillar: domestic production.
Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, this marks the shift from ambition to execution, maximizing every growing window, improving data integrity, and building a more resilient, market-responsive food system.
