Hey there everyone,
This is a compilation of footage I took while climbing the South Side Approach of Mt. Hood. My goal was to reach Crater Rock, which I exceeded. I got to the top of the Hogsback and over the bergschrund at 10,725 feet of the 11,239 feet of the summit. Prepare to hear me rambled about how floored I am by it's beauty.
You'll get to see glimpses from Timberline Parking Lot and the Climber's Route trailhead, The White River Glacier Canyon, Illumination Rock, Devil's Kitchen, DK Headwall, Crater Rock, The Hogsback, and the bergschrund. While at the top you'll get to see views of at least five different summit routes including:
The Pearly Gates (and alt)
The Old Chute
DK Headwall (and it's 3 alternates)
You might also spot some of the Wy-east and Steel Cliff routes.
