I had a hard time deciding what to do with this old wrench... Launched from the star for a complete restoration, I finally decided to give it a second life in the skin of an industrial type lamp.It is a MUTZIG FRAMONT wrench from the beginning of the 20th century.
For your information, the MUTZIG FRAMONT company, created in 1873, was a large hardware manufacturing company. It disappeared in 1932, three years after its merger with the company COULAUX.
I made a point of preserving the authentic aspect of this tool by proceeding to a simple cleaning of the steel with iron straw, and a treatment with walnut stain and beeswax for the handle.
For the rest, I let you discover by yourself the whole manufacturing process.

J’ai eu beaucoup de difficulté à me décider sur le sort que je réserverai à cette ancienne clé à molette… Lancé dès le départ pour une restauration complète, j’ai finalement décidé de lui offrir une seconde vie dans la peau d’une lampe de type industrielle.Il s’agit d’une clé anglaise de marque MUTZIG FRAMONT datant du début du XXème siècle.
Pour info, la société MUTZIG FRAMONT, crée en 1873, fut une société de fabrication de grosse quincaillerie. Elle disparut en 1932, trois ans après sa fusion avec l’entreprise COULAUX.
J’ai tenu à conserver l’aspect authentique de cet outil en procédant à un simple nettoyage de l’acier à la paille de fer, et un traitement au brou de noix et à la cire d’abeille pour le manche.
Pour le reste, je vous laisse découvrir par vous même l’ensemble de la fabrication.
