Finally time to get my grout on! This video shows how I use polymer-fortified sanded grout to fill in all the spaces between glass. I've built in to this design some very large groutlines in the sky, and have ideas for colorwashing them once the grout is fully cured (a couple days).
Mosaicists use all kinds of tools to "spread" grout: spatulas, credit cards, their hands, "proper" grout spreaders that tile setters use, etc. My favorite is regular old sponges. They're convenient because you can cut them to whatever size you need, plus they are re-usable! Just make sure the sponge is not too dry or too wet. You don't want your sponge's dryness/wetness to effect the grout you're spreading.
When cleaning the grout off, use dry rags (some folks use newspaper). Sometimes a ~slightly~ wet rag comes in handy to knock off stubborn grout.
