The flesh must be crucified by overcoming bodily desires and impulses contrary to spiritual growth and morality.
Ways to accomplish this are:
Being aware of the battle between the flesh and the spirit
• Know your temptations and harmful desires.
Galatians 5:17 explains this to you: For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Another way to crucify the flesh is to pray.
• Pray regularly for strength and guidance.
• Seek ministry from your Pastor if overwhelmed.
Fasting is another way (We have a teaching on fasting)
• Fasting builds spiritual strength and endurance and curbs the desires of the flesh.
• Fasting helps open your spirit man up to the things of the Spirit.
o When fasting, emphasis is placed on the Bible and prayer.
Bible study is another way to crucify the flesh.
• Read the Bible to understand God’s mind.
• Apply what is learned in your life.
A combination of the above suggestions will help the crucifixion of the flesh!

Say this prayer: Father in heaven, Thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the forgiveness of my sin. Lord Jesus, please forgive me for all of my sins. Come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. Please, help me live for you and fill me with your Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
