ANTARA (Official Music Video) - Exultate Chamber Singers - Tracy Wong

Описание: We are thrilled to share the official music video for ANTARA (Between)!

In 2021 we commissioned Malaysian-Canadian composer Tracy Wong to create a new piece of music to help celebrate our 40th anniversary. The resulting piece, ANTARA (Between), has been one of our most popular commissions and has been performed around the world. In Tracy’s words, “this piece is a musical expression of being ‘in between’ and the celebration of human resilience”.

The text for the piece is by Malay lyricist Mohd Fairuz bin Mohd Tauhid and reads:

Antara (between)
Dari duduk oh berdiri (from sitting to standing)
Cabar hati (challenge [your] heart)
Kuatkan jati (strengthen your inner-self)
Dari pegun oh berlari (from stillness to running)

In 2024 we partnered with renowned choreographer and director Jennifer Nichols to create a music video to showcase ANTARA. Jennifer visited rehearsals, met with Tracy and our artistic director Mark Ramsay, and built the creative vision for the final video. The video was filmed at 276 Sterling Studio in Toronto with the help of Director of Photography Stephen Bell and the brilliant team at Coffeeshop Film and Creative. Video editing by Patrick Hagarty.
