Indrė Vitkuvienė. Citizen of the World

Описание: Indre Vitkuvienė will present insights from the Erasmus+ project Citizen of the World, which aims to integrate the EU Key Competences for Lifelong Learning into Montessori elementary education. The project, coordinated by Montessori Akademija with partners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, focuses on both the theoretical and practical incorporation of key competences into Montessori classrooms.
Through collaborative partner meetings, community conversations, surveys, and methodology workshops, the project team has developed a comprehensive digital resource for teachers and school administrators. This platform, freely available in four languages, includes a 150-page guideline document, best practice examples, policies, lesson plans, assessment tools, and recordings of international community discussions.
The presentation will highlight the project’s objectives of fostering school–methodology center collaboration, building a network of Montessori and EU education partners, and equipping educators with practical strategies to nurture children as true “Citizens of the World.” Indre will also share the outcomes of the international online conference and discuss the long-term impact on the Montessori elementary community across Europe.
