$50,000 for 50 organizations: Microsoft celebrates 50 years with special grant program

Описание: Microsoft is approaching its 50th year next month! To celebrate, the Redmond-based tech company is providing 50 organizations with special grant funding. One of these organizations is The Vera Project, a community-driven nonprofit program dedicated to empowering musical and artistic visions of all ages.

Jane Broom, Senior Director of Microsoft Philanthropies, joined ARC Seattle co-anchors Steve McCarron and Holly Menino to talk about the special grant program, their decision to celebrate a major milestone by giving back to impactful and diverse programs, and why it’s important for companies to support community-driven spaces.

From The Vera Project—Christopher Walker, Development Manager and Augustin Vazquez, Steering Committee Chair joined McCarron and Menino to talk about Vera’s mission and how the grant will benefit the program.

Located at the Seattle Center, the Vera venue hosts a variety of events such as concerts, art gallery showings, and classes for art & music lovers of all ages to enjoy.
