Florida has not one, not two, but three different species of invasive monkey, with green/ vervet monkeys and squirrel monkeys taking over Ft Lauderdale, and rhesus macaques taking over most of central and northern Florida. While some of these monkeys are quite dangerous, others are harmless, regardless of where you can find them and what their impacts are on Florida’s ecosystems. Well, let’s go over everywhere from Silver Springs to the Bonnet House to figure it out.
