Sewing an Ultralight Top Quilt

Описание: Headed to the Black Forest Trail to socially distance myself in an extreme fashion in a few weeks and I need a top quilt for 30 to 40 degree nights...I have a 0 degree down Klymit bag and a home made summer top quilt bag, neither of which would give me a good nights sleep at the temps I'm expecting so...with some help from my friends I made one tonight. Materials from Ripstop By the Roll. HyperD , climashield apex, and light weight ripstop nylon. To lighten the bag I omitted a zippered foot area. I sewed my first foot box and it came out pretty nice. Fits great and weighs 1.5 pounds. I really enjoy making my own gear...it's super light, customized just for me and costs way way way less than commercial comparable options. My buddy Casey took the pics and Liz helped with pinning and sewing. Thanks again, you guys rock!!!!
