In this vlog, we’re spending our very first day exploring Beijing, starting with a visit to the Lama Temple (Yonghe Temple) one of the city’s most famous and beautiful temples, located just a short walk from our hotel, Happy Dragon Courtyard.
After soaking up the atmosphere, we spend the rest of the day wandering through the surrounding streets, getting our bearings and slowly finding our feet in China. From the sights and sounds to the pace of life, this day was all about first impressions and taking it all in.
We end the day with dinner at Huajia Yiyuan (Hua’s Restaurant), where we finally try Peking duck, a Beijing classic and something we’ve been so excited to experience.
