The final movement in the Chelsea Hotel Song Cycle, Pt. 1. This movement, "Movement 5: On the Road" is about Jack Kerouac. The entire composition is a song cycle about the artists who lived and worked at the Chelsea Hotel on W 23rd Street in New York City.
